Shortly before graduating with her degree in Organismal Biology, Georgia found Greenwood Wildlife Rehab Center and applied for their internship program. Not long into the program, she was offered a staff position. Four years later she is a full licensed rehabber at Colorado Native Bird Care and Conservation, where she cares for about 250 animals each year, especially Passerines and Waterfowl. She loves not just caring for the animals but also teaching the public about wildlife and helping to conserve native bird populations. Georgia also owns a business Ammonite Swirls Jewelry and makes bird earrings that are color coordinated to specific species. The business allows her to bring her love of birds together with her love of jewelry making.
