A lifelong lover of animals, Geri became a vet tech and worked with domestic animals until one day she rescued a baby turkey vulture. She began her journey toward becoming a wildlife rehabber, starting out with about 300 animals per year and growing to now about 1000! Geri cares for hawks, owls, reptiles, opossums, birds, bunnies, fawns, waterfowl and just about any other animals that need a helping hand. Surrounded by national forest, she's in the perfect place to both rescue animals and release them back into the wild. She and her husband are now retired and devote their lives to caring for animals in need.
