I started officially working with animals back when I was practically in-utero as we’ve always kept “every animal known to man”. I’ve always the first to volunteer when it comes animals or humans in need ever since I can remember.
I believe that seed of compassion was planted in me from the teachings of my 96 year old grandmother. The thought of carrying on her compassionate legacy for nature makes my heart happy.
Through her, I have cultivated a special appreciation for fox squirrels, raccoons, striped skunks, deer, and virginia opossums among so many other creatures.
I gratefully accepted an invite to become an essential part of the “Wildlife Warriors” (TX) krewe, a wonderful wildlife rescue group. I love learning something new every day about all the people of our community and it’s exciting to see what comes through our door.
When I’m not caring for injured, abandoned, or displaced wildlife or domesticated animals, I…well, nevermind…
But, I deeply charish the time with my beloved human family and our adopted critter children as well!
