This incubator campaign was for the TLC-40 Zoologica Series II model
I started volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary when a tree fell on their main home and we helped clean up, they kept inviting us back. I wanted to be able to help animals in some way. I saw all of these orphaned babies coming in that needed so much care. I started to learn everything I could. I applied for my apprentice permit to get my hours and classes in, joined wildlife organizations and groups for knowledge plus learning from the master rehabbers at the sanctuary. I began gravitating toward the opossums and they stole my heart. They are so misunderstood by humans. One day 4 late baby opossums came in much smaller than I had seen before so I raised them from infant to release and it was wonderful to be able to watch them grow and I want think to they are out doing opossum things and living their best lives in the wild where they belong. Since this litter, I have had many more and have learned to tube feed. The smallest babies so far have been 21 grams and I hear they can be saved at even 5 grams.
