Heather S.
This incubator campaign was for the TLC-40 Eco Baby Warm Extra model
Heather has been a certified veterinary technician for 25+ years and saw a need to help wildlife. In her area, there are not enough rehabbers for the amount wildlife that requires care. She obtained her license and immediately fell in love with working with squirrels and opossums. Opossums involve specialized care when they are tiny, such as tube feeding. From Heather's experience as a veterinary technician, she knew how to tube feed, and fell head over heels with the Virginia opossum when she began taking them on. With her knowledge and skills as a veterinary technician for so long, she is also able to take in the cases that require more complicated treatments. Heather says that the gratification of taking in an orphaned or injured animal and releasing them healthy back into nature is immense, and why she will continue to do this for a long time to come.
