Jeanie's kitty brought in an unharmed orphaned wild baby and then proceeded to fetch two more. Jeanie researched and hand raised them, then successfully released them back into the wild. Since then, people who heard about Jeanie have brought her babies in need of help, most of which are newborn squirrels who desperately need an incubator. Now retired, Jeanie has turned her maternal instinct into helping wildlife babies in need and it has become a family affair. Her husband builds release cages and nesting boxes, her daughter transports and helps with feedings, her son in another state transports and fosters raptors in need, her daughter-in-law participates in bird studies, and her granddaughter is passionate about learning all she can about proper wildlife care. Jeanie couldn't be more proud!
