Jennifer W.
Jennifer has always had a passion for being in the woods and learning about wildlife, even as a very young child. As she got older, she really wanted to learn how to help the injured birds or mammals that she found in her yard or on hikes. The helpess have always had a special place in her heart. This past spring, Jennifer finally decided she had waited long enough to follow her dreams so she took the wildlife rehabilitation exam for the state and passed. Two days later, she encountered her first save when she spotted an opossum lying on the side of the road. Jennifer was able to remove two babies from her pouch and bring them to a rehabber nearby. She says that volunteering at a local wildlife rescue and learning how to care for the babies has been a life-changing experience and she can't wait to do more!
