Everything happens for a reason, she always said! A few years ago I decided to volunteer for my longtime friend and mentor, who is a licensed rehabber. She runs a rescue and had just started building a beautiful wildlife rehabilitation center. We worked together many years prior at the vet, but when I heard about the new center I wanted to come and help. I never imagined when I walked in that first day, I would find my true calling. The first time i held a baby raccoon, I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life. Now I am in my 3rd year and I am a registered apprentice. Next year I will be a licensed rehabber here at the center. I am also the executive assistant at the center. I would be so grateful to have an incubator for all the wild babies that i care for at home and at the center. It will no doubt assist in saving many lives in the years to come!
