Jessica R.
From an early age, Jessica has always loved animals of all species. It started with the occasional stray that would show up at her childhood home, or Jessica begging her mom to take her to the pet store to stare at all the animals in enjoyment. Going into adulthood she began fostering kittens/cats and puppies/dogs which lasted a few years. In between, Jessica would often call the local sheriff's office to pick up injured wildlife. From owls, opossums, deer, turtles, birds, you name it; Jessica is sure they were tired of hearing from her. Along with the phone calls and studying the local rehabbers' telephone numbers, Jessica realized there were just not enough rehabbers available to help animals. That is when she reached out to one of them and began volunteering as well! Her plan is to start with small mammals with the ultimate goal being to rehabilitate raptors.
