Jessie C.

Jessie always had a dream of working with animals and a making a difference. She didn't think becoming a vet or a zookeeper was for her so she tried wildlife rehabilitation and immediately knew it was her calling. She applied for an apprenticeship at Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary and has been rehabilitating Virginia wildlife ever since. Jessie helps all native species, especially crows and jays, more than 650 each year. When she's not saving the babies, she loves to spend time with her dog Moe who, right after being rescued as an abandoned pup, threw up in her purse. Sometimes love shows up in the most unexpected places and for Jessie, it's all about helping any animal who need a hand.
