Jody P-G
Jody has always loved animals. Her childhood consisted of daily nature walks and adventures looking at and studying the amazing wildlife that Texas has to offer. She would come across injured or orphaned animals and bring them home and her dad who taught her how to treat injured animals and raise orphaned animals until they were ready to fend for themselves in the wild. Seven years ago, Jody's dad called her about an injured red eared slider that he picked up in the road. While researching medical journals online regarding new treatment recommendations, Jody came across TWRC. They connected her with a home-based rehabilitator who specialized in reptiles. Jody brought the turtle to her house and inquired about how she could become a wildlife rehabilitator as well. She says that she feels tremendous joy helping animals, relieving suffering, working with wonderful people, connecting people with nature, and releasing animals back in the wild.
