After retiring as a hospice director, Joy began helping a friend who is a wildlife rehabber. This wonderful mentor and sponsor told Joy that she should get her license. She did just that and has been caring for wildlife babies ever since. Joy says that the  rehab community is wonderful and always available to help with her questions and concerns. She love squirrels, rehabbing the little babies, watching them grow and then releasing back into the wild. A pinkie squirrel came to Joy today with the umbilical cord still attached. She know he would have a better chance of survival if she had an incubator!
