Julie's husband always watched out for the welfare of animals while clearing land and one day found an orphaned baby raccoon. He took the baby home to Julie, a retired RN who had been volunteering to help animals for many years. She was hooked from that day on and thanks to a wonderful network of fellow rehabbers, she has grown in her ability to save the lives of many critters. In her 10th year of rehabbing, Julie cares for raccoons, opossums, squirrels and rabbits. When her hands aren't full of orphaned baby animals in need, she loves to share her passion for animals with her children, grandchildren, boy scouts and girl scouts - educating a new generation of wildlife protectors.
