$475 of $475 raised

Julie has always been drawn to animals beginning at a young age. Dogs, guinea pig, fish and turtles were all part of her family at one point or another. As an adult, that interest evolved into a desire to make her yard as critter friendly as possible and becoming a Certified Wildlife Habitat. Julie's involvement with wildlife rehabilitation began when a neighbor brought her a baby squirrel he found in his yard after a tropical storm. She had no idea how to help this little one so she called a local refuge for assistance. Shortly after, she began volunteering there and realized she wanted to learn more about wildlife rehabilitation. Through the guidance of an experienced mentor she began the process of becoming a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. Julie was hooked, discovering a love for opossums that continues to this day. She says that she shares her opossum enthusiasm with whomever is interested. She just can't help herself!
