June is a NYC science teacher who understands that bats are essential for ecosystem health and she wanted to do everything possible to help them. She went to Batworld in Texas to learn how to properly care for these amazing creatures and is now the only bat rehabber in a rather large area, and the only one who has permission to cross county lines in the effort. June also has a son with cerebral palsy. She does all she can to encourage him and her students to appreciate and help wildlife. She's not just saving bats and helping the ecosystem, but also inspiring future veterinarians, vet techs and wildlife advocates.
