I got into rehabbing because I found two squirrels about 3 weeks old and no rehabbers would take them. They wouldn't answer their phone or the few that did answer said their facilities were full. I was even calling rehabbers several hours away! I was given the advice to give them fluids and keep them warm but the next morning the smaller one had passed so I kicked into gear in the attempt to save the other one. Long story short, Ozzie got released at 18 weeks on some beautiful private property and I had completely fallen in love with squirrels. During the process of caring for him I was certain that I would become a licensed rehabber.
