Unable to find a wildlife rehabber to help with a days old baby bird, Karen took on the task of saving the little one herself. Ten years later, she now cares for about 175 songbirds, small birds, squirrels, bunnies, possums and fawns each year. She also has a small resale shop to help finance her wildlife rehabilitation work. She loves all animals and, in addition to her wildlife work, she does what she can to find homes for unwanted pets, including exotic birds. Karen is in the process of applying for an educational / display permit for non-releasable birds so her facility can be open to the public. She'll do what she can to share her love of wildlife with a whole new generation.
