After accidentally bringing down a squirrel nest while trimming a palm tree, Kat found herself with 2 pinkies when the mom didn't return for them. She took them home, researched, then successfully rehabbed and released them back into the wild. She loved it so much that she started rehabbing more animals. 8 years later, Kat cares for squirrels, ratties and opossums. She loves helping, healing and giving natural wildlife the chance to thrive. She says that it's so very rewarding to help them make it when odds are against them. She won't turn away any animal who needs her help. When Kat's hands aren't full of babies, she also loves fundraising for other animal rescues as well as local care centers and schools.
