Kathleen P.

Kathleen is originally from England and has always had a love of wildlife and gardening for as long as she can remember. After moving to the United States, she became a rehabber before you needed a license. She started by finding an injured raccoon, calling MSU for advice and speaking Professor Duduror, wildlife expert. Through her husband, she contacted DNR who in turn added Kathleen to their Michigan Wildlife rehabilitators list. From there on, with the help of Professor Duduror, they became a very successful team in returning many healthy mammals and birds back too the wild. What makes rehabbing particularly special for Kathleen is that her daughter shares her love of wildlife and has become a most respected wildlife rehabber herself. She has taken so much time in educating Kathleen into how the field has moved forward, for instance, who would have ever thought that incubators would be made available for rehabilitators? Kathleen says that it seems the child has become the mother, at least until she catches up with her, and she's so very proud.
