Kim's dog brought something strange into the house one rainy morning and she soon figured out that it was a baby squirrel. She and her husband cared for the baby under the guidance of a local rehabber who would become their mentor. After the baby was successfully released back into the wild, Kim attended a Call of the Wild conference and was instantly hooked. She has been caring for squirrels and opossums ever since. Kim is also a founding member of Texas Metro Wildlife Rehabilitators. She has served as President, Treasurer, and has helped with committees and outreach, doing all she can to help wildlife in need.
