Kimberly D.
Kimberly lost her job at as a retail store manager and decided to pursue her passion to work with animals. She had never worked with wildlife before but she started volunteering at a wildlife facility. After a few months she was offered a job doing educational programs and then as a keeper for permanently injured residents. Kimberly learned to rehab a variety of raptors, wading birds, song birds, parrots, and a variety of reptiles. She loved working with the public and helping them to learn to live with wildlife. She loved being able to release the animals that she rehabbed, even though there was apart of her that was scared to release them. Now a homecare wildlife rehabber, Kimberly said that she is still anxious about releasing her babies back out into the world but she knows they deserve a chance at life.
