Growing up I always had a huge heart for animals & from childhood I would always try to help an animal in need, whether it meant sneaking in a stray cat when my parents weren’t home, putting a baby bird back in its nest, or simply just packing kibble while on vacation to feed the stray dogs.

While in University, I worked as a Veterinary Assisant and would often stay hours after my shift to just spend some time with some of the rescue animals that were boarding there. While working there, I started off nursing orphaned kittens and dealing with extremely feral cats, difficult/aggressive dogs, and then expanded to volunteering at a Wildlife Center. In that role, I was a Nursery Assistant and I worked mainly with orphaned squirrels, chipmunks & sometimes birds.

I then volunteered with another organization who rescued many animals from the illegal pet trade and was able to work with foxes and Lynx rescued from fur farms, kangaroos, lemurs, reptiles and many more!

A couple of years ago I was asked to help with a litter of orphaned raccoons, and automatically fell in love with them. I decided to become a Legal Wildlife Foster and absolutely love what I do.

Since then I have been asked to help with much more wildlife.
