I have always wanted to work with animals, but not the typical domestic animal. I used to spend a lot of time in the woods where I grew up. I would find my spot, sit, watch and listen. Everything about nature brought me inner peace. When I felt like my life was falling apart, into the woods I went. The sounds and smells were and still are my therapy. Saving an animal, whether by rehabbing and releasing or releasing them from irreparable damage and pain, gives me a sense of grounding and purpose.
