I’ve always loved all animals and had always dreamed one day that I would get the chance to play with a baby squirrel. And then a few years ago my father in law came across a deceased mother opossum that had 6 babies that needed help. I went and got everything I needed to be able to feed them and made my own incubator and reached out to a licensed rehabber who advised me on how to take care of them until it was time for them to be released. The day I took the baby opossums to the rehabber is the day that made me know that I would forever help our wildlife as she allowed me to help her feed the baby squirrels. And now 3 years later I am a licensed rehabber and living a life that I thought I would only ever get to dream about.
