A few years ago Laura found an injured bunny. She didn’t know who to contact other than the local animal shelter. The shelter referred her to a licensed wildlife rehabber, who Laura then took the bunny to. Laura saw there was a shortage of wildlife caregivers and she wanted to help.She applied for her permit and received it. Initially she thought it would be a fascinating way to get up close and personal with various wildlife, and it is, but she now knows that it's so much more. She says that it’s so rewarding to raise/release an orphaned/injuried animal that would have otherwise perished. The wildlife hospitals/centers are too few and far between and Laura wants to do her part in any way possible. An incubator will help her care for the most fragile babies.
