Ever since I can remember I have always loved animals. When I became a preschool teacher at The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, I naturally gravitated to the Animal Care Department. I began teaching with the Education animals at local libraries and senior centers on my non-preschool days. Shortly after that, the Nature Center offered me an additional 10 hours a week to work in the Animal Care Department caring for our resident birds and injured wildlife. Five years later when the full time position for the Animal Curator became available, I excitedly accepted the position!
