Lori's dad was a lover of all animals and she inherited that trait from him. When she found an injured baby squirrel in her driveway, her vet told her that all she could do was put it down. Lori says that she is too stubborn for that. She knew she had to try to help the baby. She started doing a web search and came across the Wildlife Lodge and Clinic's website. Two rehabbers came to pick up the squirrel and left Lori a brochure about the organization. She contacted the director and, within a couple weeks, she had her first orphaned babies to care for. She has a big love for all babies and says that it is her way of giving back to God and the world that God has given us. She's especially interested in saving orphaned bunnies and knows that an incubator will greatly improve her success rate with this fragile species.
