McKinley B.

$475 of $475 raised

McKinley always wanted to work with animals but didn't know in what capacity for a long time. It wasn't until she started studying wildlife in college that she knew she wanted to work with wildlife specifically. It didn't take long for her to figure out wildlife rehabilitation was the path for her. McKinley's goals of keeping animals wild perfectly matched with the goals of wildlife rehabilitation. She says that wildlife, regardless of species, have struggles they must overcome to survive. It can be hard for them to survive in the best of circumstances. Add in human involvement and it can be even harder for them to survive. Often animals become injured or orphaned due to human influences. Wildlife rehabilitation is our chance to help them get back out into the wild. Through working with the Howell Nature Center, McKinley is able to do her part in caring for the thousands of wild animals that come through their doors and give them a new chance at life.
