$499 of $499 raised
When a friend needed help with a baby squirrel she called Nancy immediately since she was a neonatal intensive care nurse and might know what to do. Nancy went and retrieved the squirrel, did a bunch of research, raised up the little baby to adulthood and later released it into her backyard. During this time she started to look into volunteering at a local wildlife rehabilitation center and started going every week to learn and assist in all types of wildlife rescue and rehab. With so much destroying of nature, wildlife is often hit by cars, attacked by dogs and cats and in general orphaned by natural causes. Nancy feels that rescuing these little babies helps to keep the natural cycle of life going.
