Nicole has always loved animals. When she was a child, she would sit outside for hours, watching and attempting to make friends with birds, chipmunks, frogs, and grasshoppers even. Covid forced many to work from home full time. This gave her the opportunity to start volunteering as a transporter with The Wildlife Rescue League. Due to Covid restrictions, Transporters were no longer allowed to see the animals they were transporting. She delivered a baby squirrel to a local rehabber. She was the first and only rehabber who asked Nicole if she wanted to see the baby squirrel! That's all it took to start Nicole on her wildlife rehabbing journey.
