Nikki H.

Nikki was a vet tech for several years before getting into wildlife rehabilitation. After receiving an infant squirrel while working, and contacting the licensed rehabilitator in her area, she learned of the overwhelming amount of calls the single rehabber was receiving. In an attempt to help out, Nikki started learning from her how to care for injured/orphaned babies. Over the following 10 years, Nikki started to become known as a contact to call for wildlife and began partnering with other wildlife rescues to expand her knowledge and help other species, including deer. This year, she was able to get licensed and is now building a nonprofit for this work, as well as a network of help for local wildlife in her area, which is desperately needed.
