Pam had been rescuing critters for many years, mostly highway hit by car animals, then taking them to her local veterinarian who is a licensed rehabilitator. She took his advice and started working for him 18 years ago in the front office. It was only natural that she started to volunteer to take home babies that needed to be fed at night. Last fall she took care of 16 squirrels,1 chipmunk and 2 rock chucks. Pam has also raised about 8 flying squirrels over the years -- her favorite. An incubator will help keep the most fragile babies warm and healthy until she can get them strong enough to return to the wild.
