Pamela H.

Pamela has been involved with animal rescue her entire life. It was just something she was born with, a connection to animals. She founded and operated a domestic rabbit rescue and licensed shelter for 15+ years with great success, then recently turned her focus to wildlife rehabilitation because of the extensive need in her area. Pamela hopes she can bring about the awareness and compassion for Rhode Island's native species like she did with rabbit abandonement, care and adoption. She has converted her shelter to assist wildlife but still has a long ways to go getting set up for the 2018 season. Having an incubator for the most fragile babies will be a huge help. Pamela feels that when she's helping wildlife, she is getting back to her roots growing up on the Missouri Ozarks and assisting her mother with wildlife rehab.
