Penny has always had a love for animals and was always bringing strays home. After being injured on the job and no longer able to continue in her line of work, she knew that the best thing was to find something she enjoys and to help the world in some way. She began as a wildlife transporter, taking injured and abandoned wildlife to rehabbers, eventually training under those rehabbers and helping care for the animals. It wasn't long before Penny decided that this is what she wanted to do. A year later she passed the test and now has her permit to rehabilitate small mammals and fawns. Penny says that she finally feels like she is able to contribute something by helping wildlife and getting them healthy enough to go home to the wild where they belong.
