Rachelle has always had a passion for animals. She was a vet tech for several years before the vet moved her practice to another state. If there is a sick or injured animal, friends and family know Rachelle is their go to. At the beginning of spring, she was visiting her father when he noticed something fell out of his tree. They went outside and discovered it was a baby red squirrel. They left it for it mom for several hours, but by dark it was still alone and crying. Rachelle decided to take it home and try to care for it. Little Popcorn thrived for several weeks before he was taken back to her dad’s tree. Rachelle says that it was a wonderful bonding experience with nature and her father. She knew that she wanted to do more, so she applied for her license and once it was approved the rest was history!
