After Racquel rescued tiny orphaned baby opossums, she found some help from a local wildlife rehabber. After that experience she immediately began volunteering, found that caring for the animals came naturally to her, and has been rehabbing ever since. She takes in raccoons, opossums, squirrels, bunnies, fawns, beavers and birds, averaging about 75 animals each year but up to as many as 200! While dealing with her own health challenges, Racquel finds helping innocent babies to be very therapeutic. Rehabbing is her life and she wouldn't have it any other way.
