This incubator campaign was for the TLC-40 Eco Baby Warm Extra model
I have loved animals my entire life. I always wanted to foster animals, but my husband was afraid we'd become too attached to kittens and puppies. So, he suggested looking into wildlife rehabilitation. I searched and searched until I found Wisconsin WildCare. I filled out an application with Wisconsin WildCare, and was accepted as a raccoon foster. That was the species that needed volunteers the most, at the time. They require longer times in rehab than the other species that WWC handles. Although they are a hardy species, when they come in dehydrated, emaciated, and newborn, they need extra care and extra stability in their environment. When I held my first baby raccoon, I was so in love. I knew that they would be a challenge that I would love. This year I lost 3 newborns that I think would have had a better chance at survival with an incubator. It was what convinced me to try to get one. I have been the Board President for Wisconsin WildCare, a network of home-based rehabilitators, for 2.5 years, and I earned my rehabilitation license in 2021.
