Ryan was volunteering for a local shelter when someone came in with day old rabbits but the shelter was unable to accept wildlife. Ryan knew that she couldn't watch the babies leave and more than likely die from having incorrect care. She hunted down a rehabber in her town and soon learned that she was the only one in the area and had her hands full. Ryan started volunteering under her and learning all she could about caring for injured and orphaned wildlife. She decided that she wanted to have her own license and is now waiting for the inspection of her wildlife rehabilitation set up so that she will be able to care for wildlife in her home. How wonderful it will be for Ryan to start this journey with an incubator to keep the most fragile babies warm and healthy.
