Samantha B.

$475 of $475 raised

Avid animal lover Samantha was first introduced to rehabbing when she lived in Florida from 2014-2015. She volunteered with a wildlife sanctuary called Goose Creek Wildlife Sanctuary, fell in love with what the non-profit organization did, and was able to experience working with all kinds of animals from songbirds to owls, rabbits to squirrels, opossums to raccoons, and even deer! Samantha spent every free moment she had volunteering at the sanctuary and it became her second home. She knew from all her experiences at the sanctuary that becoming a wildlife rehabber was a passion she wanted to pursue in the future. Little did Samantha know that the future was closer than she would have thought. In 2019 she took a seminar on Becoming a Wildlife Rehabber, then about a month later she took the state exam and passed. She received her permit in March and although she has just started her journey as a wildlife rehabber, she has already learned so much and looks forward to continuing to help animals.
