While growing up, Sandra took care of baby animals, put out food for the critters and often had baby bears eating off her deck. As a teenager she worked in the bear habitat at Grandfather Mountain, bottle feeding baby bears. It was hardly surprising that later, while working on her NC Wild Certification, she fell in love with rehabbing. Now the only rehabber in her county, Sandra takes care of all native wildlife. Quite often she has to pass off newborns to another facility with an incubator so having her own incubator will be a tremendous help. Sandra loves Mother Earth and is passionate about protecting her and all living things.
