I am a professional naturalist and get questions about wildlife all the time. Part of my mission in life has been to help the general public understand natural behavior of our native animals and when intervention is needed vs. when it’s best just to step back and observe.

Although I had was worked in environmental education since the mid-90s, during the COVID-19 shutdown I was able to start working hands-on with wildlife rehab and found a new purpose in life. In 2022, my friend Sarah (a fellow educator and all-around wonderful human being) and I founded Tiny Wonders Wildlife Rescue,

In addition to our regular “real” jobs and managing our own families and pets, Sarah and I take in around 500 wild animals annually, and most of them are orphans. Being able to provide for a safe, warm environment for these babies gives them a huge advantage.
