After my beloved, 12-year-old, special needs Boxer, Maleena, passed away, I found myself needing something to love, something to care for. I needed a purpose. After doing some research, I realized how great the need was for wildlife rehabilitation in my area. It didn’t take me long to realize that this was my calling - what better way to honor my best friend than by helping rescue & rehabilitate innocent wildlife animals.

I’ve lived in the same very rural area for more than 40 years. There has never been a wildlife rehabilitator in this part of the state before me. Because of the amount of animals here, I stay busy year round. In 2023, I single-handedly rehabilitated more than 200 animals...and every year, the numbers increase!
