How has your first Baby Warm incubator helped you?
When a baby squirrel or cottontail comes in and needs heat there is no better way to provide it than an incubator. I use little containers for the wee ones and can keep a dozen cozy and comfortable until they can thermoregulate. I don't have to worry if it is too hot, too cool, are there hot spots to watch for for, will they chew cords. It is a gentle warmth that surrounds them. For the critical ones, they can't crawl off the heat. This year we have taken in over 800 animals. I could not have saved so many without my incubator.
How will this additional incubator help?
I am often traveling to pick up babies and have to figure out how to keep them warm in the car. It will also provide an additional source to keep babies warm at home. It can also be used to quarantine the new ones coming in. This is a big issue when you have 30-40 in the room and even little babies can carry disease or pests. So not only will it help protect the new little ones but the ones already in care.
