Shasta volunteered for several years off and on with wildlife and domestic animals. Once she felt that she had enough time to really dedicate resources to becoming a full time permitted wildlife rehabber, and with the help and support of her family, she took the plunge and got her permit. She's constantly working on projects to provide the best service for her county and for the wildlife that come to her. There are not many wildlife rehabbers in her area --- it's a really small county with really big need. Shasta feels like this has always been her calling. It just took her a while to get in the right place to dedicate the time that rehabbing requires. An incubator will help her with her tiniest patients.
