Sheila S.

Sheila has always had a love for animals and it was something she shared with her grandfather. As a child she wanted to rescue gorillas and orangutans but was told it was something she could never do. In 1999 Sheila found an injured bird and knew she had to help. She found a wildlife rehabilitation facility, asked lots of questions, came back for orientation and she was hooked. 12 years later she cares for rabbits, squirrels, woodchucks, songbirds, waterfowl and raptors, about 1200 each year. Sheila wants to make a difference and absolutely loves the feeling that comes from releasing healthy, strong animals back to the wild.
