Shirley S.
Shirley had a love for animals and helping them at a very young age. When she was only 9 years old, her aunt gave her the opportunity to bottle feed a baby racoon, and also help bottle feed kittens. At the age of 13, Shirley was lucky enough to be able to help a veterinarian for the summer. She learned how to dress wounds on large and small animals, and even more about taking care of the young ones. Years later, Shirley discovered that there was a wildlife rehabilitator not far from her. She volunteered immediately and never looked back. She says that really it's not just the animals you're helping. It's people also. She loves giving updates to the people who cared enough to take the time to find help for the little one they found, instead of just walking away. Let's get her the incubator she needs to care for the most fragile babies.
