Sigrid W.
Sigrid has always loved animals. Her mother taught her to "let wild things be wild". This wisdom instilled in Sigrid a deep respect for wildlife. Later in life, she found an injured hawk and unfortunately it took a long time to find help as there is a desperate need for wildlife rehabilitators in her area. Helping transport the patient to and from the veterinarian for his medical care, Sigrid became a transporter for a wildlife rehabilitation organization. Soon she was also volunteering on their wildlife hotline; becoming a first responder then a rehabber. She now cares for many species of wildlife has a dedicated small building for rehab which gives her patients privacy from human activity. She says that an incubater would be very instrumental for successful rehab of nestling birds, bunnies and opossums.
