Stefanie volunteered at a local nature center doing reptile programs for kids and she absolutely loved it. Three years later she began the process of getting licensed in order to work at that center and fell in love with helping injured and orphaned wildlife. No longer at the center and now on her own, Stefanie cares for squirrels, opossums, native birds and reptiles in addition to being a full time veterinary technician for exotics and wildlife. She's especially fortunate that her family shares her passion for wildlife. Her husband even supports her by going into storm drains for ducklings, attics to rescue/reunite babies, and has wiped the tears from animals lost. Hopefully there will be even fewer tears with an incubator to help Stefanie save the most fragile babies.
