Stephanie C.

As a young person, Stephanie was introduced to wildlife rehabbing through the Junior Zoologist Club and the Cincinnati Zoo’s Raise and Release program. She raised Cottontails and Opossums mostly. In her 20’s she fell away, went to school, work, married and had children of her own. Stephanie's neighbors always brought her the wee ones they had found injured or orphaned. One day a squirrel arrived after being left behind by his mother, and their local rehab facility was full. So Stephanie volunteered, then raised that baby and 8 others that summer. She believes he was sent to remind her how much she loved this.
