I have a tremendous love for all animals both wild and domestic and have always had several domestic animals. A few years ago I was fortunate enough to buy a home in a rural area, which allowed me the property and space. Upon trying to locate a rehabber myself for animals in need that I came in contact with, and driving several hours to get them the help they needed. It became clear there weren't many options to help the wildlife in my area. I inquired what was needed to become one myself, in the hopes I could be of use. I worked very hard to complete all the steps required by my state to obtain this license. It is one of the hardest things I've taken on in my time, with both rewards and disappointment. I've also had a wonderful mentor who has helped me tremendously with knowledge.
